If you know me well, you know that New York is my favourite city. There's just something about it, there's a constant buzz, an energy that's infectious. Every borough has such distinct character and one of my favourites is Brooklyn. That's why when I heard about a shoe brand that is the first of it's kind in Brooklyn I had to check them out.
Greats walks the line of casual and sophisticated. They feel just as at home with a pair of jeans as they do with a suit which makes most of their styles very versatile. They design each model in Brooklyn and manufacture them to the highest standards in Italy. After checking out the numerous designs I decided to pick up the Wooster,which is a slip-on sneaker, and the Royale Chukka.
The Wooster is inspired by menswear god Nick Wooster. Greats has taken the classic slip-on sneaker and upped the ante by adding a buttery vachetta leather lining and they've also used full-grain leather uppers. The whole package will be one of the most versatile sneakers in your arsenal.
The Royale Chukka uses the same construction as the Wooster, using only the highest quality leathers for superior wear and comfort. The high top format looks better with a pair of jeans or a suit than it does a pair of shorts. The Wooster has the ability to be worn with just about anything. This Chukka will take you from late summer right into the fall in style.
