So I may not be going back to school (I graduated in 2011) but I can definitely get on board with picking up some new gear for the fall. I used to love back to school shopping, you get a new backpack, new writing utensils and in my first year University I got my first laptop. It was a 2007 MacBook Pro and that thing lasted me all through University and even for a few years after. Enough about me, here's a list of the newest gear that works just as well for those of you going back to school as it does for those of you going back to work after that summer vacation.
MacBook Pro with Touch Bar - from $1,729.00
The 13" MacBook pro is the perfect companion, whether you're taking notes in class or just watching Netflix this bad boy has the ability to tackle just about anything you throw at it. The new Touch Bar replaces your function keys and adapts to what you're doing. It gives you quick access to predictive text, emojis and allows you to answer your iPhone. There isn't a better looking laptop out there and you definitely won't be disappointed by the MacBook Pro it's been a staple in my life for the past decade. Check out all the options here.
Nike Air Max 97 Ultra - $215.00
Triple Black is always a good choice.
Define your back-to-school style from day one and celebrate your scholastic return with a pair of future forward Nike Air Max 97 Ultra. The Nike Air Max 97 Ultra model is constructed with sleek, flat side paneling which reduces the silhouette’s weight, highlights its signature lines in a single-layer upper and introduces new Air-Sole PSI levels to provide a more comfortable ride for daily wear. The Nike Air Max 97 is a must for the worldwide sneaker community and stylish young sneakerheads looking to make a statement. Find them here.
Paige Lennox Jeans - $261.00
If you haven't tried stretch denim you're missing out. Paige was one of the originators of stretch jeans and they do it very very well. The Lennox fit is a slim but not skinny fit and it fits perfectly for the guy that wants a slimmer jean but not the painted on look. This pair might be a little bit more expensive but trust me, they're worth it. Check them out here.
Reshoevn8r Sneaker Cleaner - $27.00
If there's one thing you just can't have it's dirty sneakers. Whether they're a nice pair of white Chuck's or a brand new pair of White Ultraboosts there's nothing worse than a stain or scuff mark on them. Pick up the this brush and 8oz cleaner from Reshoevn8r and that problem will be a thing of the past. Find it here.
J.Crew Pima Cotton Oxford Shirt - $84.50
One of my favourite looks is to take a shirt that most people wouldn't wear a tie with and wear a tie with it. This is that shirt, pair it with a solid coloured knit tie and this shirt can pull double duty for you. Find it here.
Bulova Moon Chronograph Watch - $695.00
The Special Edition Moon Chrono from Bulova is a fantastic piece. It's got their proprietary high-performance quartz technology with 262 kHz vibrational frequency for precise accuracy. It features a leather NATO strap which is super versatile and can take you from the office or classroom to a night out seamlessly. It's also water resistant to 50 metres for your divers out there. Check it out here.
New Balance 574S - $139.00
There's nothing better than treating yourself to a new pair of kicks. My favourite release of the summer has definitely been the 574S. New Balance has taken the classic silhouette of the 574 but added a one piece tongue and thrown on a Fresh Foam midsole to give it an incredibly comfy ride. This Grey colour way is super versatile and a great addition to your fall wardrobe. Check it out here.
JACK BLACK FACIAL CLEANSER - $23.00
This energizing facial cleanser will help wake you up and get you going for that extended commute to work, you know because everyone is back to school and now your commute has just doubled. Luckily it also doubles as a purifying mask with Oatmeal, Vitamins and Glycolic acid. Find it here.
Google Wifi - $179.99
Have spotty wifi in your house or apartment? Google has got the solution dialed in. This new device replaces your current router and gives you 1,5000 sq. ft. of coverage. It also allows you to track your usage using the app to make sure that you don't go over your data limit for the month...smart. Find it at Best Buy.
Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 34 - $145
If you've got the casual shoe game on lock with the other two options I gave you, and you're looking for a new workout slash running shoe then check out this pair. It's got premium cushion ST foam for a smooth and comfortable ride and comes in a ton of different colourways. Check it out here.
Gap Slim Fit Stretch Jeans - $79.95
If you're not comfortable with spending $200+ for a pair of jeans (even if they are worth it), Gap makes a great pair as well at a more affordable price. The Gap has taken their classic denim, that has been a staple of the brand for over 50 years, and added stretch to it. They've got a bunch of different colours and washes and at that price you could probably pick up all of them. Take a look here.
Apple Watch Series 2 - $359
The new Apple watch has built-in GPS, it's water resistant to 50 metres and the screen is twice as bright as the original. Basically it's the smartest watch out there and great to track and measure just about any workout you can think of. I also absolutely love the new NATO straps, totally on point. Check out all the different models here.
